Initial situation and project objective
Sportfive Germany is an international sports marketing agency. Rapid growth and the merger of companies from the same environment resulted in a heterogeneous IT landscape with different applications and requirements. The aim of the project was to unify and modernize the application landscape.
In an earlier project, SAP CRM applications had already been replaced by corresponding Salesforce Sales and Marketing Cloud modules. With MuleSoft, a real-time integration landscape was created to connect the Salesforce products with SAP ERP and SAP FI and make Salesforce the leading system. Our team of experts took responsibility for the MuleSoft integration environment and data migration.
Procedure in the project
In order to save unnecessary costs, the existing licenses were terminated in good time. This meant that 6 months were available for implementation. A project of this size is more likely to take a year. In order to keep to the schedule, three Hyand teams worked on the implementation in parallel. In addition, the changeover was used to operate all systems involved in a multi-cloud approach in the Salesforce, AWS and Azure Cloud.
Project result
The tight schedule was largely adhered to. Sportfive can successfully use the planned new functions in Salesforce. The SAP CRM was switched off and license costs were saved. Sportfive's employees are so satisfied with the standardization of the IT systems that the data science platform, the online store and the aftersales applications are currently being connected via MuleSoft.
