Our customer offers digital services for companies and institutions. The previous operational effort for the administration and management of firewall rules was to be made faster and more efficient for customers. The aim was to further reduce the time required to implement the rules, minimize possible error rates and thus reduce personnel expenses and costs. In addition to improved quality and increased competitiveness, the project focused on customer satisfaction.
Our customer relied on Oracle Application Express (APEX) for the implementation of the automation platform. Hyand Solutions has a qualified APEX team with a wealth of experience. Our customer drew on this wealth of experience so that the platform could be optimally developed together with the customer's IT experts.
A self-service portal was created using APEX, which is used to register, validate and ultimately fully automate the end customer order. The existing order process was fully integrated into the self-service portal in order to optimize all components. In close cooperation with the end customers, the portal was adapted to their needs.
The development went through several stages. First, simple order forms were created, data was obtained from external interfaces and validation mechanisms were developed. Approval processes were also built in, automation scripts created and order orchestration implemented.
Our customer's new Security Suite for managing firewall rules has been very well received by end users. The commissioning process is simpler and faster for end customers, and internal processes have also been significantly accelerated. The attractiveness and importance of our customer as an IT partner has been further enhanced by the implementation. New features are continually being added to the portal and adapted to current customer requirements.
