Cash transportation and management are essential components of many business models. They can be time-consuming and tie up a lot of resources. The security aspect is another challenge for companies.
Our customer's existing cash handling system (CHS) - a digital system for the central control of cash flows and risk monitoring - was to be adapted to modern technical possibilities and the digitalization of processes was to be optimized. The focus was on improving operation and expanding functionalities. The new requirements had to be implemented without affecting the ongoing operation of the system.
Usability evaluations and context of use analyses were carried out in order to identify and implement potential for optimizing the existing system. This identified a need for new functionalities. The CHS was modernized, processes optimized and new functionalities added in line with Scrum and human-centered design. Reviews and suitable evaluation methods were used to directly incorporate feedback from stakeholders, in particular users, so that the shared software vision could be continuously realized during operation.
The central management and transparent monitoring of the cash flow enables improved risk management and more efficient reporting. This ensures secure cash management and at the same time optimizes processes and user guidance. Anomalies can be processed more quickly as a result. The processing time has been reduced by around 30 percent.
In addition, the digital creation and management of contracts is simplified, which also makes it much easier to evaluate service providers. Thanks to highly flexible import and export interfaces, the solution can be seamlessly integrated into existing system landscapes and individually adapted.
