The individual software service provider Hyand has acquired the Romanian company Sinapsys Nearshore SRL. This gives the Hyand Group a further shoring location in Romania in addition to its sites in Poland, Lithuania and India. The aim is to further expand the Group's performance for existing and new customers through the additional nearshore capacities and targeted strengthening of the service and technology portfolio.
Sinapsys, based in Cluj-Napoca, Romania, and consisting of a team of more than 40 employees, is a provider of IT solutions with a focus on software development and managed services. Following its foundation in 2021, Sinapsys will become a fully-fledged part of the Hyand Group as a result of the acquisition.
As a specialist for individual software, the Hyand Group supports customers from various industries such as the automotive, retail, finance and insurance sectors or public clients in driving digital change with individual software solutions. The more than 900 employees work at several locations in Germany, Poland, Lithuania, India and now also Romania.
With the acquisition of Sinapsys, the Hyand Group's broad portfolio of solutions and technologies with a focus on software development, consulting and data analytics will be supplemented by highly sought-after expertise in areas such as mainframe COBOL development. In addition, the addition of Sinapsys provides access to an attractive market for well-trained IT talent with German and English language skills.
The acquisition is therefore another important step towards further strengthening the Group's existing technological capabilities. After the Hyand Group made it to 16th place among the leading medium-sized IT consulting and system integration companies in Germany in the first attempt since its foundation (source: Lünendonk List 2024), the additional shoring capacities will now further increase the Group's competitiveness.
The Sinapsys management team around co-founder Titus Mic will remain with the company and continue the Group's success story together with the management of the Hyand Group.
